I'm Dominic Polsinelli and I graduated from Georgia Tech majoring in applied physics. This has some information on the projects I do outside of work and some speculative science/futurism opinions of mine. Currently, I am employed in a neuroscience lab at Washington University. My PI, quite understandably, doesn't want me to talk to much about our work before publication but I write code for the lab, do 2P imaging/analysis, make/fix equipment, and do surgery. When I talk about whole brain emulation I mean it in the very professional extension of current neuroscience way (see this paper) not the goofy sci-fi way (see this plot summary).
